Sprite midges are creative and will often find unique ways to use their magic, so mages who keep these dragons are often at an advantage from studying and observing the strange solutions these tiny creatures find. A mage without a sprite midge is often either a master or a beginner, as many teachers will even require a sprite midge for class.

Fire		This tiny, red hatchling is quite useless. It has small wing arms that it attempts to use to fly. You have to be careful about where you let it slither as it emits strong hear and is prone to leaving a trail of burnt material behind it.
Leaf		This tiny, green hatchling is able to grow plants quite easily. It sometimes uses this power to grow its own food.

Sun		This tiny, golden hatchling is able to channel sunlight through its scales and beam it to a single, condensed spot. It often sets stuff on fire with this power. It has now grown a pair of thin, lace-like wings, but does not seem to be able to use it for flight. A thin dust constantly falls off of them.
Stone		This tiny, brown hatchling is prone to using its powers to control and levitate rocks, or turn sand into quicksand or rocks into soil. It often tests these powers on plants, and you have to constantly fix uprooted ones in your garden because of it. Its grown now and a pair of wings adorn its back. It still loves to control dirt and has gotten better.
Fire		This tiny, red hatchling is quite useless. It has small wing arms that it attempts to use to fly. You have to be careful about where you let it slither as it emits strong hear and is prone to leaving a trail of burnt material behind it. Its wings have grown in and its trail of destruction has grown, as it now has large cracks of strong rock that emit extreme heat on its chest. It also has grown horns of this same material.
Leaf		This tiny, green hatchling is able to grow plants quite easily. It sometimes uses this power to grow its own food. Its grown a frill now and it often will use its power to now share food and feed your other creatures. Your plant-based dragons enjoy its company.
Life		This tiny, dark green hatchling doesn't seem to have any powers. It smells like plants though, and its body feels much like organic matter. Its grown a bit more now and it now sports a pair of wings and a stinging tail spine. It also seems to possess a strange magic, and it has the ability to shift form if it so sees fit.
Water		This tiny, blue hatchling loves to play with water. It can often move and control puddles to evaporate, and is able to conjure a cloud to make rain if it wants. It is now able to move the cloud around and its ability to control water allows for it to turn small puddles into clouds. It loves using this cloud to douse your other hatchlings, but it is not violent with it.
