Deadleaf[]

Fall

Adult Deadleaf

Deadleaves are commonly found in the creche during the tenth year or during any of the fall seasons. This is due to the fact that their eggs can only survive in the wild in varying mild temperatures, but once bred in captivity the eggs can be placed in the company of any sort of dragon that is not a hot or cold tempered one to ensure its safety. This is thought to be due to the fact that the species was said to be born from a piece of frost falling upon the leaf of the tree of life, causing the leaf and the frost to merge and become their own entity. If exposed to cold or hot weather though, the leaves will often crumple up and become soggy or form mold upon them, often quickly after getting sick and dying. They still feel uncomfortable when surrounded by cold or hot weathered dragons in their adulthood, but when fall comes around they take the chance to enjoy what they can before a new year begins.

That hatchling that emerged from the leafy shell is quite energetic. If often likes to breathe a small puff of chilly air. It likes to hang around most of your hatchlings, but not any of your cold weathered ones.

Your hatchling has finally reached adulthood, and it is quite a beautiful sight to see. Its scales glimmer in the sunlight like falling leaves, and its wings remind you of their bright colors. It will often go outside when it is fall and roll around, often afterwards picking up leaves and throwing them at your other dragons. It prefers to not eat anything you offer it though, instead it seems to love to munch and eat acorns and dead leaves, and although you consider it odd, you prefer this to having to fetch food for it.
