ChickenEditChickens are creatures from the old world that used to exist before this place. There are multiple types that exist, often with them being breeds with beautiful plumage and fanciful patterns, but the only type that truly exists in the creche is the common white chicken. Chickens tend to form flocks that can span tens of feet, often eating any insect that they can find. They constantly lay eggs that can be eaten, since no male chickens have been found to this day. They have the ability to outrun any creature other than the lizard, though rarely you can see one with its new found catch.

The small baby before you is not a dragon or any of the birds that you have seen around here. It seems oddly calm and collective, though will often break into chirping fits whenever you leave it. You have to keep it warm or else it will start to yell.

The small bird has grown; its feathers have turned a dull white color and small flaps have grown from the base of its beak. It often goes around scratching for food, scuffing up your floors in the process. It is around the size of a sparrow, but it has strong, powerful legs and seems to not be able to fly.
- Last column is related to the Teen stage. A number 1 means it's the adult stage of New Sprite1, the number 2 from New Sprite2 and so on.
The creature has now grown, and you have to move it outside now. It does not need you to keep it warm, and it will often run away from you when you try to get near it. It hangs out around other types of its species, and they will often form large groups that can eat all the bugs in a field. It also has very strong legs that allow it to run very fast, and at the same time hurt something that may be chasing it. They seem to lay a constant amount of eggs, that you have found most do not hatch. Often, your other creatures will steal a few and eat them.
